Flamingo Portrait II.
Phoenicopterus ruber - Greater Flamingo.
I can not tell you with words how much I love photographing flamingos!
They're so beautiful and I love the contrast between the flamingo and the surrounding.
This was the first zoo I went to where the flamingos have a big grass field to be on and
they also had a pond, which was pretty cute. (The other zoo I go to have a big grass
field as well, but not as good as thins one and they have a lake where all the flamingos can be).
They didn't have an enclosure, but there was a rope around the grass, but only to mark that people
can't walk there and disturb the animals
This gave me a great opportunity to take a lot of shots of them while I was sitting down and being
on their level. My boyfriend got a bit tired of me sitting there for a few minutes, so he walked away
and sat on a bench and looked a bit bored, haha
Location: Parken Zoo, Sweden.
Camera: Canon EOS 60D.
Lens: Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L USM.
