Persian leopard.

Panthera pardus ciscaucasica - Persian Leopard.
This photo was taken on the 19/8 - 2014.

The Persian leopard is one of the new animals at Nordens Ark and he's so beautiful. He is far
from shy and has been sitting pretty near the fence so that everyone can see him. It was kind
of a challenge for me to get some good shots of him, because I didn't want the fence to be visible in
the shot. I got a bit happy when he decided to go in to his little tree house - which is a bit away from the fence.

Some of the staff at Nordens Ark recently came back to Sweden from Germany with a female Persian leopard and
they're keeping everyone updated on their facebook page. The female is really shy and she's been in an enclosure
where the visitors aren't allowed to be and she will be released in to her new enclosure when she's not as stressed
out as she is now. She isn't going to be in the same enclosure as the male from the beginning, since they don't know
how the two leopards will be together.
