Tintin is funny. He seems to like cat shaped objects. I often find him sitting next to some porcelain cat figurines on a shelf indoors and ever since I put a small cat statue, made out of concrete, out in the garden, Tintin has been showing up next to it as well. I don't know why he does it (none of the other cats do it) but I find it cute.
Maybe he thinks it's a very silent cat friend or something and he just wants to hang out.

It would be so lovely to just be able to relax and sort of melt away from all the cares. I usually try to find time to do just that a few days every summer, but this summer has been so cold it's not really been possible to spend any time outdoors without moving around and doing things. Bad, bad summer!

Svårt att hitta någon annan förklaring till varför han dras till den om han inte tycker om den. Först tänkte jag att det var för att plattan den står på blir varm och statyn blir antagligen också varm, men ingen av de andra katterna dras dit trots att alla katter gillar varma sovplatser. Så... tyst vän. Vi kör på det. xD

Great timed picture with a good angle.
Even the various tones of green match perfectly with the colours of the two cats.
(On the foreground the plants are like a colour mix of the concrete and the red/orange fur. While on the upper left, next to the concrete alone the plants are more blue green opposed to the right side.)
It's like Tintin's fur colour radiates on the surrounding flora. Very interesting.

I'm very happy you like the surrounding as well as the cat because I prefer to take pictures where there are things to look at in the background (plants and flowers usually) and not just focus on the cat alone.

Well, Oliver is also grey and he and Tintin are best buds so they often sleep next to each other like that. Maybe Tintin thinks the statue is a very silent version of Oliver...

This is so adorable, it should be a crime! Tintin looks so content cuddling up to the statue. Plus the contrast of the green and gray with Tintin's orange and white is beautiful to look at.

But I tend to sneak away and get the camera instead. It requires loads of self-control though.

It could also be the fact that the concrete slab the cat statue stands on becomes very hot and cosy in the sun, but none of the other cats seem drawn to it like Tintin.

They really do. There are so many differences between them, just like with humans. I find it very fascinating because I hear so many say that "a cat is just a cat" as if all cats are the same, but I certainly disagree with that statement. I have four clearly individual cats.

You are so right there is absolutely no truth to that "a cat is a cat"
and they surely are not all the same. I had 5 at one time and they
all had different personalities. And you have four so you can see
that is not true. I love cats.

Me too. Cats are the best.
And there are currently at least two of them running around up on the roof. Happens ever night. I think they're playing tag or something. "Things that go bump in the night" have a very specific meaning in my home.
