Description
Just messin' around in Photoshop Elements 2....thought I'd try my hand at some freedraw practice sketching of Ed using my Wacom Tablet Pen. This is my actual real first try and Photoshop sketchin'...I usually scan an image in and trace over it with the pen tab.I'm also practicing my Ed's n' Al's so I can get their character design down. I'm helping a friend design some really cool Ed and Al shoes, yet I've never really drawn either before. So whatcha guys think of my first Ed drawing? I'll probably make him a ref sheet as practice.
Took 2 hrs.
Done in Photoshop Elements 2

God I can't even remember. I've had it for years now, but I think I had it for about a year before I drew this. Maybe even less?

omg! HOW can you draw the lines straight? I bought a tablet yesterday and I've just figured out I can do only abstract. ¬¬ I just suck with the lineart...

lol oh man lineart takes me forever to finish. It's practically an art in itself.
What I usually do it sketch out the lines so I know what I want, then I go back
with the eraser tool and gradually clean them up till they look smoooooth and straight.
I didn't have much luck with the tablet at first either and all it does is piss my boyfriend off.
But eventually you get use to using it. Now I can't work without it. I'm pretty much a digital artist now.

Freakin' AWESOME! I can't believe that you're not experienced at drawing Ed already; this captures his character SO PERFECTLY! That snarky, slightly mischievous, devil-may-care attitude--you fully, fully Win. *hands you a basket full of Win* XD

uh...is this a sarcasim spasim or a real question lol
PS Elements, to the best of my knowledge, is kind of like an "add-on" to the program.
Its kind of limited but from what I see it has the more artsy tools on it. Like wacom and special effects brushes, filters and such n' such. Its a very old version now (version 2) and who knows if they even make Elements anymore......I haven't seen one in a long while so. Maybe they're outdated....?
Anyways I have a crap load of programs on my poor compy....PS CS2/7.0, Illustrator CS2, Quark, PS Elements 1&2, Dreamweaver.....you name it, I prolly have it lol. I constantly have to keep up with my classes...so I'm buying/boot-leggin' programs like its goin' out of style!

Thanks! ^__^ though I can't really take credit for that.
I looked and drew from a ref pic, switching from one window to the other lol.

Yeah, you can. Even with a reference pic, it's not easy to do, especially the way you've captured it without making the expression look hollow and the lines look forced!

aww thanks Oleem. I tried my best ^_^
For a look and draw I tried so hard to make an exact replica.
