that is really pretty, the colour combination works so well together, rocks are wonderful. The depth is extremely convincing as well.

Thank you for that comment....i was really trying for a great amount of depth in this one. i sometimes neglect the feature in my drawings.

Oh yeah, just like everyone else has said: WONDERFUL use of colour! You pulled off the structure (having something blue in a big red field) great - I like how you integrated the red into the blue sky with the one large drop, too. Also I love love LOVE the way you paint those rocks/mountains/butte thingys. Please paint more of them!

Thank you so much....Your comment was greatly appreciated. i am glad that you liked the rocks and mountains. i really agonized over how to put the small rocks and hill-things in the front because i wanted them to look real and yet, unreal. So, i thank you for your words.

.....And i will try to paint more of them soon...

i am going to have to look for that video or dvd. It sounds fascinating. One of the things that i have not really seen in a documentary on Dali is him painting. That is one of the things i have been trying to find because i have wanted to 'watch' him working. Ever since i read the "50 Secrets Of Magic Craftsmanship", i have wondered if he REALLY did all the things in that book that he suggested to others as ways of cultivating talent (as wierd as they may be). Thank you for mentioning that documentary...And thank you for the kind comment on my work!!

Well it doesnt have much footage of him painting, maybe a couple of realy really quick clips, not enough to see how he actually paints, mainly there are loads of clips of him in interviews etc, and sat in his bed watching the opening of his museum when he was very ill then all the scientist's etc that were there went to meet him and asked if his soft watches were inspired by einstein, the actual program is about how he was inspired and used science and maths etc in his art........ but it is a very very very good documentry, i taped most of it on my mini camcorder ....

ive always wanted to read the "50 Secrets Of Magic Craftsmanship", i cant really order off the net, so i looked in all shops (no luck), and when i went to his museum in Spain they had 100's of his books apart from that which was unbelieveable

It is cool that you were able to record it. It is something that is of value and can be watched again and again...i know....i have seen a few videos from the library.

Hey...check out this link... [link] age=2 That is the book we spoke of. If you really want it, perhaps we could work something out where i could get it and send it to you and you could send me a check or something. Let me know. i know how it is when you can't order online....i used to be really paranoid about doing it. Now, i just say to myself that if they try, whoever it is will be sorely disappointed at my lack of funds...heh....

Anyway...Let me know if you want to work something out. i am willing to help you get the book...Also, check out the site that the link is on...It is the Dali museum in St. Petersberg FL. Have fun.
