I just re-watched the opening, and I think Dante might be hiding in a few other shots, too. I'm not sure though, because I have to rely on videos I find online (I don't have a PS3, sadly

I was rewatching the opening yesterday on my spiffy new *big* wide-screen monitor and I wasn't quite sure. Have to do a frame-by-frame search next time. I did take the vids right off the game. If I *do* spot him, I'll let you know.

First time I saw it, I didn't catch it, but I *did* catch Nero looking back and *up*, like he was looking for something. Now we know...

I always suspected because of the position and perspective of the last shot of Nero (the one looking down). It sure looks a lot like the building Dante is standing on in the long view at the end.

Yes, it's what clued me in, also. I was already wondering about that shot from above the first time I ran the game. Then I discovered the joys of Fraps and screen caps and I had my answer.

It's *very* fast, so you don't catch it unless you watch the scene frame by frame. But it makes sense, since you have one scene where you see Nero from above - he's down below in the street, fighting - and then at the end Nero turns back and looks up, as if he'd felt that there was someone watching. So we had the clues and just couldn't see it.

Yes yes you're right!! Nero already noticed his presence, but he didnt know where exactly!! J'ai mis beaucoup de temps pour voir Dante sur le toit du batiment à la fin.

I confess that someone else pointed it out to me. Though I'd been puzzling about the shot of Nero from above and Nero looking back and up at the end of the fight. This explains it, of course.

I didn't see it until someone pointed it out. But then I *had* to go back and see for myself. ^^
It explains the shot from above - where we see Nero fighting in the street below - and Nero looking back and up, after the fight, as if he were looking for something. So he *felt* Dante there, but didn't see him.

That also explains why we see Nero fighting down in the street in one shot - as if he's being watched from above - and Nero looking back and up, after the fight, as if he'd felt that he'd been watched...
