NO ONE SAW THIS COMING.tonight is supposed to be worse; my community got hit the hardest last night (southeast harris, unincorporated; specifically, friendswood/webster border.)
except of course for you guys in Rockport and corpus. We made about 6 feet deep water in one night, but we didn't get 130mph winds from the east one hour, then immediately to the west.
This house made it through Allison without breaking a sweat.
This time, it was a quarter inch away from flooding. Our garage got an inch. Our street wasn't even visible through the murky water.
I've never seen my parents so genuinely fearful. I've never been awake for so long. I'm going on 46 hours.
Needless to say, it's freaking me the hell out.

So sorry to hear this; wish you guys and everyone out there the best of luck. I've never had the misfortune of experience something so generally frightening and disastrous, so I cannot fully even comprehend what you're going through. Stay strong together and everything should be okay - what you're doing is the best you can do. Please get some sleep, I know you must be terrified but I assure you that even getting an hour nap in may get your head in gear. Even if you can't fully sleep, perhaps try having warm drinks, etc if you can, to calm you and everyone else you can provide to down.

Thank you so much I seriously needed that... I've been supporting a few snapchat groups of like 4 people and spreading coast guard numbers. My friends are all climbing up to their roof tops and spray painting "SOS" on their shingles so the national guard sees them. Luckily my house is very well elevated, but we cut it EXTREMELY close last night. I've just
been so exhausted, but I can't go to bed because I know another tornado will sweep by if I do.
Can't thank you enough for the support, though, and I appreciate it beyond belief

aaa i guess taking a small nap would help but i understand if you're fearful i've never been through one of those things but i used to investigate a lot about it and it looks and it may feel horrible,,
just try taking a small nap everything is going to be fine stay safe(i know i already said that million times but it's just all i can say sorry hhhh)
