Here's a question for you: Has the Joker ever loved Harley? Let me hear your thoughts on the matter!

Hmm; has the Joker ever loved Harley... Good question. I thing he saw her more like a tool, a doll he charmed to be able to use her. As sociopaths can't feel empathy, I believe they can't have love feelings either and concerning errm... Excitement and pleasure feelings, I've read that it comes from a different source (setting fire or murder) than having sexual realtions.
But somewhere, I wonder. What would be Joker's reaction if Harley was killed. I think he would miss her... Maybe realize that she was more then just a tool. But still, I'm unable to tell if he could fell in love with her. That's complicated. XD What's your point of view? Or do you want to keep it secret and explain it in the comic? XD

I'm thinking the same... Sociopaths/Psycopaths are unable to feel the way we do and they have no empathy. They can learn the meaning of certain emotions but they will never be able to feel them. There is a part of their brain, the Limbic system, have not been developed as it should. So the Joker, if we are to think of him as a sociopath/psycopath, would not be able to love Harley... but I still want to believe that some part of him could. At least he is obsessed with her in some way... So I don't know. We'll see were the story goes...

Haa, I really agree with you. I too want to believe some part of him don't see harley as a puppet... Even if he's definitly insane. XD
I'm curious how you'll show his "feelings" towards Harley in the comic. I'm really curious.

*bum bum bum bum* :0 Its getting pretty heavy....
For me, I never really thought too hard into that, as both characters are so complex and there have been so many different takes on their back grounds, and how-they-met stories, and who went after who first stories, that, in the end, I just enjoy the ride rather than wondering over the mechanics of the entire structure. :3
