Description
Last saturday I was at the movies and saw the poster of 'CREEP' (german version) with Franka Potente. And like always I stepped forward to examine the techniques exactly. This inspired me of making a texture which would look like paper cracks. So I copied a piece of black paper crumbled/folded it and voila...The photo of me is just a day old and was taken by my sister. It was a just a series of spontaneous snapshots (with 'wrong' parameters)
I released some anger by penetrating a chipboard with a screwdriver and wrote the letters 'RAWIMAGE'. Left all the slivers...

Very cool! It reminds me a little of the illustrator/photograper Matt Mahurin's work.
I really like the visual depth you have in the inscription.

I've seen a few works of Matt Mahurin. Among others the cover of Tom Waits/Blood Money. I'm really honoured

Matt Mahurin's great. You've probably have seen more than you realize. For some reason it's difficult to find examples of his work on the internet. He's also done some great music videos.

Thank you very much. Hm, I don't know Mahurin. I will see if I can find something...
I've used hard light coming from the right to enhance the depth.
I visited 'illegal art' and read a few articles. Very interessting stuff, specially about the 'grey album' and Beatallica. Strange are yet to come. It's a pitty that many rights humans were struggling for are now dismantled...

I'm glad you found it interesting, it's certainly food for thought. Are copyrights as fiercely guarded in Germany as the are in the US?
Did you download the Beatallica songs? Pretty amusing stuff.

well.. no. I don't think it's so fiercely guarded. .. as long as it's not an UScorp. But I think there are many things which are not so fiercely (I like that word) guarded. E.g. the censorship on (M)TV (logos on shirts, butt cracks, strong language etc.) nobody seems to care around here...

I like that alot, its creepy!!! I love the old effects, its quite fun to do! The textures here look great. I full viewed it, I wanted to catch the detail. You look quite sinister and I love the 'old page' border. Quite cool
