Wow, never worked with this kind of anatomy before! The legs were kinda tricky so hope I did okay.The leaves in the pattern is colored sparkling silver, but unfortunately my scanner happens to hate glitter so, you know, looks better in RL :I
Was fun working with this cute and cheerful character from that very lovable Disney classic 'Bambi' (1945).
Should definitely draw Disney stuff more often
Anyway, this little fawn will be part of an x-mas gift for the oldest daughter of a dear friend of mine (posting it early since she's not active on DA).

Have you read the original book by chance? It's VERY different from the Disney Movie and is one of my favorite pieces of classic literature

Unfortunately no. I would've loved to read the original, but the only books I can find called 'Bambi' seems to be based on the movie :I

Bambi is a timeless classic, I have it on DVD. I can't believe they murdered his mother, those... monsters!

Heh, it was never my intention to get caught up in drawing from just one of my numerous fandoms. It's just something very addicting about the Sonic characters...but I'll continue to draw Disney, Ghibli, and whatever-else-I-happen-to-be-fan-of every now and then
It sure is. I wouldn't be surprised if the old Disney classics would happen to be the most watched movies today with dates like 1937, 1945, 1961 an so on 
I haven't seen the sequel either, it's currently unavailable on DVD

For your first time drawing fawns, it looks perfect!
The corner design does give off a Christmas feeling.
