I often see road kill as I walk to and from work. I even came across a fox one day

It always manage to ruin the day a little when you spot one of those poor little creatures along the road, doesn't it
I've noticed that people don't seem to react to direct warnings and ignores photos with macabre content nowadays, so to get a message across I wanted to try and grab their attention with something they might want to look at and reflect upon. I just hope it works...

Yeah, I just hope I'll see less hedgehogs along the roads this year. They're an endangered enough species as it is

I haven't seen any hedgehogs on the road, but I've seen a lot of deer--they're insanely common here. And once I saw a dog. That was really bad. ;^;

Hedgehogs are the ones I most commonly see, seagulls are second (always close to another roadkill), then cats on third
There's a lot of deer here too, but without any large carnivores around they're more active during the day when traffic moves slow so I usually only see live ones grassing close to the roads.

If not hedgehogs, there's other wild animals whose lives are endangered when they cross the roads no matter where you are in the world

I see raccoon and opossums everyday.Β It was really bad in Arkansas with the armadillos. I counted at least seventeen on one road alone.
