Actually, the anime came first...and even THAT was loosely based off of the original movie. XD
And the anime was pretty depressing. I like the manga's ending WAY better, because Diva and Saya understand each other at the end...and Solomon lives. >D

Well...Karl (the replacement for Charles) IS THE CREEPIEST FUCKER ON THAT SHOW. I mean, I think he's cool and all, and I feel kinda bad for him...but...have you ever seen Phantom of the Opera? They based him off of the Phantom. AND IT SHOWS.
Riku is raped by Diva. And since he is a chavalier and sex=blood contact, he dies. Diva gets pregnant with Riku's babies and has twins. Solomon is NOT a horny crazy guy. He has genuine feelings for Saya and dies protecting her. The only chevalier from Diva's side who lives is Nathan. He never loses his devotion for Diva, and is more like the "supporting mother" type. As Diva dies, she reaches out for her babies. ANd then she croaks.
THEN There are these people called the Schiff. They aren't all that important to the plotline really, and the only one I like out of their group is Lulu.
