My half of an art trade with .See her lovely version of Merokaneil, ". Colder than anything ."
Edit: I forgot to mention that Rim is a MOON woldra and that woldras are copyrighted © to Nahamut. :3 He's also a prisoner, but of what I dunno. o_o
Description: Would you believe me if I told you that this was done 99.9% via touchpad? (You know, that square pad on a laptop?) Yep. I was only able to get the head drawn before my mouse decided to die again on me. The background, too, is touchpad-done. Yikes! My left hand hurts now instead of my right, haha.
So, this guy here Rim is a beastie called a woldra, which Naha described to me as being a dragon-wolf cross in appearance. I got a little confused over the anatomy; I hope it's okay... I had to draw Rim in his more anthropomorphic form because of my current human-art-block. Ugh. I so hate my human-style right now.
I don't know anything about Rim save for a few random facts, like how his eyes change according to the sky. (Or, in this case, background.) Oh yeah. The background. Rim seemed like a dark character what with chains and all, so I decided to give him a dark background. Leave it to Rax to smear red everywhere... (My favorite color. Hurr.)
Oh yeah. Warning. This image is, like, hugemongous... And Rim has uber huge talons. Or so he does in Naha's style. I wanted to draw him with said uber huge talons. That's why his feet turned out to be so dang large in this image. His wing markings gave me problems. -facedesk-
Annnd the flowers. I don't know where he got them or why. Maybe he's getting more for Win Noa...? I dunno. Looks like he obliterated a few, seeing as there's five million petals on the ground around him.
...I don't remember what else I was going to say. Oh well. It's like... two A.M. here and I'm getting sleepy. -yawn- So... I hope you like, Naha?... .__.;

You actually did the lineart using touchpad!?! It must have taken like forever to do it! I cannot use touchpad, its just plain impossble for me TT_TT Then again i dont do digital art caus i fail at it..... You also did an amazing job with the highlights and shading! The markings on his wings also look really cool and his clothes looks perfect on him! >w<

Well, here begin my comment! ^ ^ Im sorry about the delay..I just wanted to make it in a day I was feeling better enought to write properly! Because my comment need to be nice enought to be here and show well how much I liked this : D
First of all..OMFG!! you made all that with touchpad?!!!?! I would have give up at the very beginning! ( wait...maybe not if that was for a friend like you ^ ^ )....I get so mad with that touchpad thing when I press buttons with that without wanting to!> _ >'' Maybe I still didnt get used to that _ _'''
But you sure used that touchpad so well..it even looks like it was done with tablet! amazing!!!* - * it is better than many tablet drawings I see around : OO I love how the lineart is so clean and detailed, btw!
Oh of course...I can not forget to talk about the shading...it has such a nice style! When I saw in preview I though it was a normal shading/lighting style...but then I just got suprised when I saw how that really was in fullview! such nice effect...it got kinda a texture in some areas...like the tail...I dont know really how to describe, but I love the effect I see!* Q *
And you were able to do every single detail of my character...and he got a lot of details...some complex details like those markings of his wings...but you did them all so well! I worship you for paying so much attention to every detail of this character @ - @ even the chains/lil crosses!

His pose fits him so well! because it makes me think about him showing up for Win Noa to give those flowers, and his pose got kinda a mysterious feeling...maybe also because of the wind blowing away his black coat...and the way you made he grabbing the flower and ahh * - * seems you understood well my character even though there is still a lot of things hidden about him > w <'''

Rim is a prescious character to me, I feel really happy to see him in your style and to know you put a lot of effort in this drawing ^ ^ And also that you didnt just go and draw him, but payed attention to every detail and tried to catch his personality to make a composition that would show us the feeling of the character. So this means a lot to me!!

Touchpad indeed. And what a flattering thing to say! Thank you so much! Yes. You, Nahamut, have been very good to me from the very beginning of when I met you. I wanted to somehow repay your kindness, you sweet gal you.
I am so pleased that you like this. I gave it my all, even though the touchpad near killed me in the process. The lineart is clean because it was done in MS Paint. I do all my lineart in MS Paint, basically.
Ah, the shading. I kind of went all spazztical with it and kept shading over what I had shaded, which gave it the effect you see here. (It's fun to do, though. Kind of like how you say you do your eyes for your characters, where you just work with it until it looks right? That's what I did with the shading.) The tails are indeed a little textured, and that's due to the fact that I used smaller brush strokes on them. (For whatever reason... I personally don't know.)
Details? I always try to pay attention to little details. You of all people should know this, right? xD After all, I seem to try to absorb every little aspect you've put into your pictures. So I try my hardest to get the design perfectly right... I am a perfectionist, after all. That's one reason I don't upload to dA much. It must be above satisfactory or it just won't do! xD

Well, Rim always seemed to me to be a rather... romantic guy (as far as Win Noa goes). So I tried giving him an elegant pose to match my mental interpretation of him. I noticed that in the images of you drew of him, he always seemed to be smirking/grinning around Win Noa, so I attempted to integrate that into my image as well. (Thus his smiling face.)
Yes. Whatever font I used for his name fit perfectly. I like how that turned out. My name/signature down in the bottom is written in a font called "A Theme for Murder." You can download it off of DaFont .com.
I think I could tell that you liked Rim for some reason. I personally really like him too-- his coat is just made of win, I tell you. Ah, I am pleased I caught his character well in this piece; after all, you did such a lovely job on Merokaneil there is no way I was going to give a trade-half without my all going into it.

Raxxie!!! This is amazing! The way the colors work together so smoothly and yet in paint-like blotches, the anatomy of the wings and the intertwining tails, the detail of the runes beneath the webbings and the fuzzy white fur (that's shaded brilliantly also)--everything looks stunning!
And the fact that you did this with a touchpad is even more amazing!! Excellent work indeed! I actually created a "woldra" of my own once--but I called him a "Wolgon" XD I suppose the mix is fairly popular

Oh, darn it. I forgot to mention that the species woldra is copyrighted to Nahamut. The mix is popular, probably, but that doesn't allow people to use the name woldra for that species. Oh, darn it. I forgot to mention he's a moon woldra... they apparently have all different elements too, or something.
