It took me awhile to get the hang of photoshop. So many tools, so much stuff about digital images that I didn't understand fully, and I started with one of those darn mouses.. *darn terrible soap on a rope*... The neatest thing/trick I learned was how to use the multiply setting on a layer (that is over on the layers menu in the drop down bar). With multiply you can draw over your sketches/ink drawings really easily. Lets say you want to color a drawing you inked and scanned. You open that image, up make a new layer to put color on, set that new layer to multiply and then when you draw on the top layer, the underneath lines on the background layer show through. That is the thing I use in photoshop the most.. I wish I learned that day one.
