Description
Here is another painting that I've been working on forever and it is finally done. I've been working on this painting for my friend Shelli [link] forever now. So there is Shelli in her overrun mini golf course filled with gators. Shelli's favorite color is green, so I used every green I had. Sap green, light thalo green, emerald green, chromium green, cobalt deep green, gold green, phthalocynine green, brilliant yellow green and light green permanent. Acrylic.Related content

This is freakin' sweet. Gators+ships+wicked-ass acrylics and an all-too-cute style; it's hard not to laugh to yourself a little when you see it. Awesome.

Gahhh, I find acrylics tricky to use, but you paint with them wonderfully. There's so much detail <3

I can't really remember if I commented this or not... So here goes again
Ehem, I love your details in this kind of pics, as usual... You make so much "more" than other artist if you know what I mean. Especially the crocs, they're adorable :3
(and Ray, I'm working on your late christmas card, or at least I have an idea but I have so much homework right now x_x I'm drowning in it, seriously)

Heehee...this reminds me of one of the puzzles in the game "Sam & Max Hit The Road". It took place in a golf course filled with gators.
Beautiful colours as always.

Awesome! I love green too
And I sooo want a ship like that in my back yard (since I don't have a mini golf course), if it wasn't for the fact that it's all down hill... hmmm, maybe just a small ship then? Or I can wish for both a ship and a big flat back yard

Ah- it's just incredible ^^
And my art teacher says you can't get good results with acrylics
What does she know?

!!!!! Your art teacher says what?!?!?!?! Check out the work of michael whelan.. [link] I saw some of these paintings in person and most of his work and professional work is done in acrylics! You can use acrylics like watercolor, put them in an air brush... use retarder and use them like oils....acrylics are some of the easiest paints to use once you get used to them! Plus they are water soluble and can be washed off without mineral spirits or turpentine.. or grumtine! Your art teacher has no idea what she is talking about on this one, she must not like them. But one needs to be mindful to seperate your opinion from facts.. Art is hard like that though, art crits always walk that thin line. I know a ton of painters that use acrylics... It maybe easier to get amazing color in oils or watercolor sometimes, but there are things about arcylics that you can't beat. The drying time and ability to apply new color so quickly... those always work best for me. Also gouache is amazing stuff, and alot of people will tell you it is terrible until they get used to its quarks.

Whoa- thank you so much for the great reply. I mean- I always admired your work, but knowing how much you can do with acrylics, and looking through your gallery again... I mean- wow.
Not to sound extremely cheesy- but I think you're practically one of my idols I think if I could reach your skill... Zomg, I'd feel ecstatic ^^
Keep up the work, as every piece you produce, makes me smile every time.
Thanks

I love mini golf, but I'm pretty terrible at it. But! I once played a really fine game and beat my boyfriend while on vacation. Ever since I pretend like I can't ever play again and I'm retired. I got par and everything that one time. Hehe.... hehe. Such a good game. I love the mulitcolor balls.
The Pirates Cove golf courses we have around here are wicked fun + themed.

Mini golf is loads of fun, there's times I go over par but there was a time I got a hole in one that was pretty sweet. They make the game so whimsical with all those castles and windmills, I feel like a giant in a tiny elf village
