I made this for the gal who got me hooked on DA . I drew up and digitally painted two of her characters and pitted them against each other in an epic battle.An epic battle of chess... that is!
For some background on these characters for the confused and bewildered viewers.. These are rivals of sorts. Just enjoy them for being whacked out overly costumed crazies one with wings and the other with a very large weapon. There really isn't much else to it, I hope that doesn't leave everyone looking at me funny.
I hope she can see past the liberties I took in their costuming and that this is in the spirit of her characters.

The little chess pieces falling into the water is pretty cute. It adds a small detail that kinda is just there to see and stuff I had in my head and lost as I typed. All the details and colors are pretty damn good, I do love those colors. THe over all idea is quite clever though, Chess is an epic battle indeed. XP

XD i the name polearm always made me laugh.. XD polearm.. *snicker Snicker* But thats great! Its pretty and full of coolness!... yeah! your colors seem differnt then usually.. how to describe.. as well, more smooth i guess? they dont have that same kinda texture to them as usual, did you use photosho this time? And Chess is a VERY epic battle! i mean, if you imagian each little peice as a group of soliders (like... 1,000 XD ok so its more of a battalion) But Amazing pic Rayray!

Haha. Good eye. You totally spotted the photoshop mannequin creamy lack of texture. I totally went all out on photoshop on this one. -cradles wrist- Way to many hours in front of the PC for this one.

Yea......umm. I wanted to have them standing on water. Heh heh. Doesn't exactly make sense, but I thought it would be fun to have the chess pieces plop into the water.
