Yep I honestly hope she gets into Smash. We need a new fire emblem representative. Even though we have Chrom even though he's a echo fighter.

I would not be surprised if we get a character from Fire Emblem Three Houses or PokΓ©mon Sword and Shield to be honest ( or at the very least spirit artworks ) considering that the games are coming out very soon.Β

I wouldn't mind this but we could morleyΒ see her as DLC in Super Smash Bros. Ultra Smackdown for the Nintendo NX in 2024 (no offence, it's just that, i WAS expecting FE DLC in the Pre Joker days but that was last year).

I really like her design. I certainly wouldn't mind her being in Smash. Personally, as long as FE isn't outnumbering Mario or Pokemon, I don't see anything wrong with adding another one in.

I'm just not really digging the art style.Β The recruitable characters we've seen look super-generic, and the armor/costume designs are awful (feels like a major step down since I loved the costume designs in Fates and Shadows of Valentia!)Β I like that you're now able to command battalions of generic units, but for some reason it seems they thought it was a good idea to take their helmets off... so it just looks like you're commanding a battalion of the same guy copied and pasted several times (again, really bizarre choice since the generic units in previous games looked just fine!Β Awakening and Fates in particular did a really great job with their generic unit designs.)
Idk, maybe the gameplay will at least make up for the regrettable art direction, but I still feel like it's going to hold it back for me.Β :c

Ah, well, I wouldn't go that far.Β And one, two, or even more unpopular releases aren't always enough to kill a series, as long as it continues to be profitable... I'm pretty sure the fire emblem games are fairly cheap to produce (comparatively speaking) and fairly popular, so I don't see the series dying anytime soon.
With that said, it's still too early to make a call as to whether the new game will be any good or not... and even in a worst-case scenario, I don't mind sitting out a release that doesn't interest me.
