Some folks (me) want a new F-Zero game too, but that's not gonna happen either...
Even if Mother 3 didn't do well in Japan, that's not necessarily an issue for localisation. Metroid is way more popular in the West, for one. And 'people just know it because of Smash' doesn't hold much weight because due to Smash Pit got a new game due, Fire Emblem went international, Xenoblade got a massive popularity spike, and a lot of people actually heard about lesser-known series. The first time I ever played a game with Samus was the original Smash, since I missed out on the SNES era (SSB was her only N64 appearance).
Anyway, looking forward to our Koopa president's reign!

So, why does Nintendo chose to give the fandom the OG Mother, but not Mother 3, despite millions still demanding?

Because in Japan, the country the actually played the game, MOTHER 3 is the most LOATHED game in the entire series, and countries outside Japan mainly want it because of Lucas being in Super Smash Bros.

Well, to begin Mother 3 already exists so I think what people are wanting is rather Mother 4. And well, I think it's because of the main writer no longer interested on continuing the story after Mother 3, or at least that's what I read

I think i ended reading that as well. Things end in Mother 3 and the fear is if more sequels are made, the chances of increasing deteriorating quality are known so...

Sonic has been through some ups and downs. However, it can feel rather baffling that people would consider Sonic Unleashed to be among the worst Sonic games in existence, despite the fact that the Wii/PS2 version exists; better overall reviews, and is less difficult than the PS3/XBOX360 version.

Not gonna lie, it's wrong to say all recent sonic titles have been bad, because that's definitely not the case.
It's just that there are so many of them that could have been far better. Overall Sonic games are not great, but one can not entirely say all of them are bad.
I can't speak for Sonic Unleashed, or several other titles since I've never played them. Though I've seen gameplays and the like. IMO, Sonic Unleashed is not really that bad. Unusual? Yes. Weird? Totally. But I can't call it a bad title.
If we wanna talk about a bad Sonic game though? Sonic 2006. Definitely

Well, it's not just Sonic 2006 that's bad. Rise of Lyric is also among the worst Sonic games out there. In fact, one could argue that Rise of Lyric is much worse than Sonic 2006; the latter at least has a good soundtrack, but the former's soundtrack is just forgettable.
