• I grew up hearing my dad play Steven Curtis Chapman song. Brings back good memories!
• This track conveys facing another day with positivity, which is not always easy. Somedays are hard to face – even overwhelming. This is a prayer for help and hope.
• Perspective can change everything.

Shadow Step – Hillsong UNITED
• I very much have the planning personality type. I like to know where I’m going, what I’m doing and for how long. I often fail to realize that I am not in control of everything.
• This track can be put into words through Jon Foreman’s article “Chaos vs. Control”
• Affirmation that I am sometimes powerless to control the future but I can rest assured knowing my future is secured.
• When the mountain seems too high to climb… take another step.

Restless – Switchfoot
• While I have faith in things unseen I know I am only human and can attest to being heavily focused only on what is in front of me (or lack thereof)
• It is good to be ambitious but being goal oriented runs the risk of missing out on what’s in front of me now, or special moments and people in my life.
• This track is affirmation that no matter what dreams, goals, and ambitions I achieve in life, I will always end up with a glass half-full.
• There is satisfaction with achievement but it is a material thing. There has to be something more. Until I arrive there I will be restless.

• This is the space between who you are and who you could be

• I can affirm what I believe but could I tell you I know 50% of all there is to know? What about 10%? Even 1%? No. Therefore, I must ask myself challenging questions.
• This track is a reminder of the importance of remaining humble and realizing I don’t have all the answers. I could be wrong.

Moving Forward – Colony House
• Hardships, tragedy, anxiety, depression – life in general can really take its toll on a person. This is a beautiful track that affirms hope and perseverance in the midst of pain.

Whatever You’re Doing (Something Heavenly) – Sanctus Real
• This track revisits the concept of “Chaos vs. Control”
• “In one breath you are powerful beyond what you dreamed possible and yet in the same breath you are fragile and helpless”
• Sometimes all you can do is let go – give in and trust

• The Grand Finale
• This track revisits the themes found in every track – especially Restless
