Klaus leaned against the wall, dizziness causing his head to drop and his vision to darken. He shook slightly with every breath out, thin form rattling with exhaustion and exertion. 

Today was the wrong day for him.

Klaus managed to push himself off the wall without collapsing onto the snow-dusted concrete in front of the RED base, half-heartedly healing the scout, Jack, as he ran past, shouting something about chicken, although Klaus barely registered it, his head buzzing. He started to walk, then run, feet driving into the snow as he avoided multiple of the bullets shot at him. A rocket, heading for his feet, glowed a deadly blue and Klaus jumped as high as he could, shooting up, the rocket exploding under his feet, snow and dirt exploding into an ash-y snow-cloud as he was blasted into the air, falling into the snow. The buzzing in her head spiked, and for a second he just wanted to stay down. His legs were injured, torn up by small rocks that had been in the dirt, and he was just so tired... Maybe he could rest a while? He shouldn't, but the snow was just so soft... He slowly blinked closed his heavy eyelids, seeing a BLU soldier approach him. In some still awake, cognisant part of his brain he realized that he was going to die. 

He still couldn't open his eyes, consciousness slipping away... I'm going to die.

"MAGGOT DON'T YOU TOUCH MY MEDIC!!!!" John the Soldier's angry shout snapped Klaus back to reality as a rocket hit the BLU solder in the chest, his body flying to pieces. Klaus managed to open his eyes and shift into a sitting position, but that was it. John grabbed him by the upper arm and hauled him roughly to his feet. "YOU HAVE FEET MAGGOT USE THEM!" John shouted as Klaus whimpered, his legs feeling like jelly, no longer able to support him. "Doc, there's only a minute left in this mission! We must move!" John snapped gruffly as Klaus leaned against the wall. 

"Y-yes..." He finally managed to say, pushing off the wall again and pulling out his syringe gun. The pair rounded the corner, Klaus rattling off an impressive streak of darts at a scout, who fell from the air and landed near him. The dizziness returned, and he staggered. The scout took this opportunity and shot Klaus's arm. He let out a shocked cry, blood spraying the wall, as Jack leaped over his head.

"Friggen' dumbass! Nobody touches Medic!" Jack yelled before shooting his BLU doppleganger several times with a scattergun. If Klaus wasn't so exhausted, he would have been touched. Misha rounded the corner of the concrete building to stand protectively over top of the injured medic, who had fallen to the icy floor, back against the wall. John, also realizing something was wrong, turned his attention to protecting Klaus with Misha.

"5...4...3...2...1!" There was a loud ding, then 'OH YEAH!' from Jack as he snagged the final point. "Success!" Cheers and groans rang up from across the battlefield, but Klaus could only give a relieved sigh, relaxing a bit into the snow.

"Doctor, are you alright?" Misha bent down to look at the exhausted Medic panting in the snow. Klaus shook his head minutely. "Soldier!" Misha called.

"Yes maggot?" 

"Help me." He growled as he wrapped Klaus's right arm around the back of his neck, placing his own hand on his back, while John took Klaus's left hand around his neck, hand across the smaller man's shoulders. Together, they hauled Klaus to his feet, the doctor barely standing on his own, and walked him into the base, a snowstorm just beginning to blow.
