I had fun doing this! I mixed watercolors, markers and added colored pencils as touch ups. Then added minimal glow effects on CS3

This is for a contest. The theme, Night Fairy Song.

CONCEPT

The conceptualization took me days from work breaks. I wanted to execute it with dynamic perspective but I decided to do normal angle since I wanted to let the viewer see the aesthetics of the clothes. My younger sister designed the clothes using 'Night Flowers' as a theme. She merged a Filipiniana clothing and fantasy concept and adding dominant night flowers as details.

Basically, this is an Encantada who sings at night to perform in front of the Lambana crowd. Encantadas are the Filipino equivalent of fairies while Lamabanas are Filipino term to small fairies (like Tinker Bell). It's like a form of gathering of the Lambanas to watch a very enchanting Fairy songstress of their place. Perhaps her voice is way beyond magical.
