Frame 2: Gunter hadn’t thought about this in a while, but Shigure’s story about the Shepherds from distant Ylisse, three of whom were summoned to Nohr, caused him to remember. And, it made things make sense. When a tournament was held for the posts of retainers to Prince Xander, Princess Camilla, and Prince Leo, the entry of the young Laslow, Selena, and Odin was met with laughter and derision. When the fighting started, however, everybody stopped laughing. Despite being much younger and barely half the size of their contemporaries, this strange trio decimated the competition, winning the tournament and the posts of retainers with jaw dropping ease. Still, learning all three had grown up fighting the zombie-like Risen DID help explain that feat to Gunter.
