Description
As they migrate north to the tundra, Snow geese gather in flocks of tens of thousands, feeding on left over grain in farm fields. The Skagit Valley is a well known location for observing these massive flocks, not just for people, but also for Bald Eagles. This time of year, eagles gather to prey on young and injured geese. Every time an eagle would fly by to survey the flock, the geese erupt into flight. This proves to be a good tactic to confuse and disorient the eagles, as well as human observers...Snow Geese - Skagit Valley, Washington

This photo is so overwhelming. (But in a good way) I can't imagine how crazy that must have looked IRL.

I had to really look at this for a few seconds before reading the description to make sure I knew what I was looking at. That is one tight flock of snow geese. The patterns in this are just mind boggling. It's also amazing you got so many geese in sharp focus. Well done.

I know, I was there, I took it, and I still get confused looking at it... Thank you!
