Description
When a lone fossilized top portion of this animals skull was first discovered on the subcontinent of Oroland, paleontologists believed it to be from some sort of bone-crushing jawed Magnopsid. When a fossilized full skeleton was finally discovered, it became apparent that this hypothesis was dead wrong. An arboreal Pico/Trikovore ( is this the proper term?), the ( insert scientific name here) is the Snaiad equivalent of an Aye-Aye, and were Oroland's version of the "woodpecker" Carnophids. This 80 centimeter long creature would tap the trunks of trees, feeling for the vibrations of its prey. The vibrations of prey travel up the lower jaw and are believed to be somehow interpreted by nerves in the first head, as the hearing apparatus of Snaiad tetrapods lie within their nostrils. Hopefully greater study in the future will explain this unique way of sensing prey. The animal then uses its upper jaw to scrape away at the bark and outer trunk to reach the squirming prey within. It is believed that the Magnopsid would then stab at it's prey with it's lower jaw and then pluck the impaled morsels with it's second head, but some scientists believed it used a long sticky tongue covered in hair to capture prey like an anteater ( as seen in this image). This remains a much heated debate in the world of Snaiad paleontology. Due to it's skeletal structure, this specimen is believede to be most closely related to Magnopsids of the genus Nyctocyon, such as the Pinchweasel.
I apologize for the quality of the scan as I have no clue what I am doing still, and I hope that the whole lower jaw for sensing vibrations is feasible, as I really like this fellow. Enjoy Nemo and all fans of Snaiad!

The creator of Snaiad or another artist may have created a sprog diagram. I don't know much about sprog beyond it beeing spong-like so I'd advise you to look for any information elsewhere. Thank you so much for the Watch though! I appreciate it and hope you find what you're looking for!
