I'm lagging behind with my challenge I know... but I can't seem to be able to catch up to the show... But I'll try nevertheless.
Did anyone else catch this beauty of nonsense and lack of logic in this episode? Poor excuses just because you want to do something in your story... Seriously, Sabine is the least recognizable...? Because she wears a helmet most of the time I assume... But they just said she was a damn cadet for years! She is in their database as a deserter dammit! Plus if she's really that suitable for an undercover mission then why the hack did they send Ezra before to be undercover and not her...? Why is she better for this operation suddenly? Most likely because they wanted Sabine to have a little spotlight in this episode, and that sums up all the reasons...

Thank you! Seriously, that was one my biggest pet peeve with this episode. As much I like Sabine having her time in the spotlight once in awhile, their logic made no REAL logical sense

Maybe she faked her death and with the logic the empire has, they wiped her off their data banks so the imperial navy looks unstoppable?

Well, to be fair to them, as soon as I changed schools after moving to Italy, they deactivated my account and stuff. Doubt they'll remember me in a few months, let alone years.
But yeah, facial recognition would have TOTALLY screwed them over.

Well if you think about there are two different reasons. When Ezra was doing it his job was to get information straight from the Empire data source and helping that recruit escape was kinda last minute to their plan. Also add the fact at the time Ezra was still in training and Sabine had more experience in fighting, they might have noticed her more advance skills. In this one, Sabine was to recruiting new flyers. Also has Ezra actually fly a ship before, I mean a solo fighter ship.
Plus the Empire knows Ezra so they might have recognize him this time, unlike the first time. So logically the Empire was more likely to notice Ezra then a black hair Sabine.
Although there might be some logic loopholes, everyone one messes up.

They're sending her in this time, Ezra, so that the audience can briefly ship her with Wedge! If they just send you in again it'd be a complete repeat of last time with you forming a Bromance with Wedge. As for the logic...this is not the logic you are looking for? XD
Truth be told I was wondering the exact same thing, but I felt that this didn't detract too much from the episode as a whole.
