I'm lagging behind with my challenge I know... but I can't seem to be able to catch up to the show... But I'll try nevertheless.
Did anyone else catch this beauty of nonsense and lack of logic in this episode? Poor excuses just because you want to do something in your story... Seriously, Sabine is the least recognizable...? Because she wears a helmet most of the time I assume... But they just said she was a damn cadet for years! She is in their database as a deserter dammit! Plus if she's really that suitable for an undercover mission then why the hack did they send Ezra before to be undercover and not her...? Why is she better for this operation suddenly? Most likely because they wanted Sabine to have a little spotlight in this episode, and that sums up all the reasons...

Yes, she's in the database, but no one in the Empire knew she was with the rebels, 'cause they never saw her face. Sabine is also much, much better than Ezra when it comes to keeping a low profile in such a situation.

I'd chalk it up to the Empire not really caring much about looking into Mandalore, they probably see it as just as backwater as Tatooine; I expect if we'd spent more time with offworlder Imps in Mandalorian space, they'd probably have just as much of a... imperialist, for lack of a better word, view of Mandalorians as the garrison on Ryloth had towards Twi'leks.
(I suspect this is probably why Thrawn doesn't visit the Outer Rim garrisons very much, but I digress)

Actually it kinda makes sense when you think about it from the point of view of what they accomplished at the times. The time that Ezra had gone undercover as an Imperial cadet he was as far as the galaxy and to Lothal as a whole still a nobody in fact the group as a whole was still a nobody.
the time when Sabine went undercover the crew of the ghost as a whole was far more recognizable especially Ezra because he broadcasted that call to rebellion, dueled with the inquisitors a number of times, has been captured and escaped from Imperial custody a number of times, was responsible for inspiring an unknown number of Imperial prisoners to escape, played a big part in the destruction of a couple of Star Destroyers (One was Grand Moff Tarkin's, the other a prototype gravity well ship), personally faced Darth Vader blade to blade twice, and he had made a lot of progress as a Jedi Padawan. While during this same amount of time Sabine hasn't done that much in regards to the amount of damage she has done to the empire.

Yeah, Ezra's dismissed as a dumb kid by his distractors, but I doubt Tarkin appreciated likely getting chewed out by the Emperor for losing a Star Destroyer to a handful of Rebels and an outdated astromech, which would make the Empire look very stupid. So Tarkin likely wants him dead very much. So he'd bump Kanan and Ezra up if only because they got him in hot water, however briefly.
Oh, and if your friends with Taipu, Tank, glad to hear that. I got blocked by him because of a dispute when discussing Mandalorian tech companies, but he seemed to be a nice guy beforehand. Guess I just annoyed him too much.

Sabine: Ezra, I never been to this particular Academy before, I am undying my hair for this mission, these guys mostly keep records on PILOTS not soldiers, and most of the time I am on missions, I have helmet on; Minister Tua, those two inquisitors, and every other who seen me without a helmet is dead. I also changed physically since they died so... Nothing short of them getting my real name will make them bother to look at my files. The only reason you went to that academy on Lothal is because you were just a kid who lived on the streets, no one would ever bother recognizing you. You accumulated a crap ton of wanted posters since then, my real face is hardly in any. Besides most imperials are not very bright, what are the odds some who is highly intelligent will be there.

Uhm... have you seen or heard female stormtrooper anywhere like ever? Yeah, guess so. Unless the empire gives them exact same armor which would be extremely uncomfortable to the ones with big happiness pillows it seems our great Shiv not only thinks that humans are superior to other races but also the females belong in the space kitchen. But seriously also thought about it during the episode. But i guess they didn't seen her without the helmet (she always wear it in action) + even if they did she washed the colors, and obviously her fake card wasn't with her personality but changed (they made it not stole). It wasn't as big "wait that's just wrong" moment as Hera risking many lives to get back ugly af wooden totem tho. This season is really good, but some logic & details seems to be off (Kanan now acts like he can see, rex survive 2 blaster hits, one HEADSHOT, jedi deflecting the shots having more accuracy than robots firing directly etc).

Being honest in Star wars both the Original Trilogy(except episode 7) and Rebels have no Female stormtroopers, their only appearance is Episode 7 and Star wars Battlefront...

Explains why a few of them got dragged by an AT-ST when they tried to trip it with rope, then. Apparently Lucas based the Ewoks off of the VC-I guess he didn't bother filming a scene where the Ewoks barbecue a village with flamethrowers for accepting Imperial medical aid.

Oh. Well, even if the regular Stormtroopers weren't very competent (though Bodhi actually got fragged by a shoretrooper-such is the nature of war), the Death troopers definitely were more than just guys in black armor.

In theory, Ezra's probably on some "most wanted" list that many of the Imperials know about. After all, he's a Jedi who has faced Vader and been captured multiple times, while Sabine, being a deserter, likely is lower on the list of people to look for. (From what I've seen in Star Wars, it seems they don't have decent facial recognition software.)

Yeah, let's be honest-EVERYONE aboard Ghost (you're technically not supposed to put "the" before a ship's name) should have a five-star wanted level by now. However, Ezra's face is known and like you say he'd probably be higher on the wanted list than Sabine if only because they'd treat a Jedi as the biggest threat.

This is my issue with Rebels in general. As a kids cartoon, contrived situations like this are perfectly fine. But as the vanguard for new Star Wars canon? That's just too much pressure. It paints the Empire as even bigger fools than they already were, and makes them difficult to take seriously as a threat. That, and the show making the gunning down of commissioned soldiers as a running gag, or committing acts of domestic terrorism framed as light-hearted adventure has become a little uncomfortable in our current world climate, although that could just be me...

Maybe the guys in charge of looking for deserters and traitors (by this point, the crew of Ghost should all have at least a four-star wanted level by now, considering how Tarkin of all people ended up going to Lothal in an effort to deal with them) are the same guys who trained the Stormtroopers on Endor.
