Je n'ai encore jamais vu des américains stéréotypés, mais pour ce qui est du cliché français, je le trouve plutôt mignon et, en voyant le cliché écossais, je me dis parfois qu'on aurait pu avoir pire...

Well, I think that if Louis would be going to a date, he would bring to his fiancée a bunch of roses rather than a baguette and a bottle of red wine!
Here, he's just posing for the picture, and to represents French class, he put on a more elegant outfit than usual with a beret (a quite ridiculous one in fact), he have let his moustache grown, and he's holding to famous French specialities : the baguette, and the wine!

PS: you have to say "Bonjour Louis", "La" is a feminine word which means "The", the masculine version of this word is "Le"... Yes, I know, French is one of the most difficult language of the world, even French themselves says that it's grammar, conjugation and orthography are difficult!
