I let out a sigh.
I've been in this bed for too long. If I stay like this, I will never get out of my bed. I can't be like that. I went to Beacon to become a huntress. Even if Beacon is down, I'm not going to give up on my dream.
I hop out of the bed and grab W/N.
"Been a while since I used you buddy. Time to get some practice in."
I head downstairs.
"Where do you think you are going?" T/M asks
"Catching some practice and fresh air."
" Are you sure that you are okay to be practicing?"
"Yes mother. I will be completely fine." I mock
She rolls her eyes at me.
"Fine. Just stay safe."
"Got you."
I want to rush out the house, but I can't because my leg still isn't up for that action.
"Okay. It's time for some practice."

Salem's Headquater.
Mercury's P.O.V.
I feel like I have no reason being here. I mean the others are busy doing the work. Then again, Cinder needs help with most things. That's where my life got me. I turned into someone's personal assistant. Is this all worth it now?
"Everyone in here now!" Salem orders
Everyone comes to sit down at the table.
"I am happy to inform you that I have found the Spring Maiden." Salem says
The Spring Maiden. Finally we have been looking for her the longest. Now it's time to end her.
Salem summons Seer into the room. Salem looks at Seer.
" And the Spring Maiden is (Y/N)(L/N),"
Crap!This is not good. No. No. No. I just didn't want anyone to hurt (Y/N) anymore. Now we have to.........kill her?
A huge lump got caught in my throat. I can't believe I am still in love with her.
"Hazel be a dear and bring her here alive, then Emerald will kill her and then she will be the new Spring Maiden.Here's a visual" Salem says
(Y/N)'s picture pops up
"Yes." Hazel says getting up from his seat.

"You can all leave now." Salem says

"Then follow Hazel and save her."
This is not like Emerald. She's all following Cinder's and Salem's order
"Why are you being so nice about this?"
"If I kill her, there will be a huge weight of guilt on my shoulder. Knowing that I killed my only friend's love."

Your P.O.V
I have been doing good lately. Especially with my speed. I didn't think that I could move this fast. This is amazing.
"Hey (Y/N) you doing alright out here?" (T/M) asks
"Yeah. Matter of fact how about we spar?"
I hold out my weapon towards her.
"I wish I could, but I don't have Shadow Strike with me." she says lying through her teeth
"It's behind your back, isn't it?"
"Yep. Come at me bro."
(T/M) and I start to spar off.
"You good for being crippled." she says
"I wish I could say the same for you. You are not putting up a good fight, man?"
"I'm trying not to make your knee worse than it is."
(T/M) jumps back.
"You have a point. Good fight." I say walking towards her.
Her eyes widen.
"Watch out!" she pushes me out of the way.
A way almost is shot at where I was standing.
I look up to see a muscular man with short brown hair standing on a tree top.
"I can't believe I missed. Oh well not this time." he says
"Hold on! Who are you?" (T/M) yells
"My name is not important to you. Plus you are not needed. Only her." he says pointing to me
Why me? Why am I so important? Last time I checked, I am no use to anyone right now.
"Yeah what about her?"(T/M) yells
"I just need her to come with me."
"Why?"
"Listen. I don't know who you are, but I am going to tell you who you're not. You're not my father and I don't have to go anywhere with you, so get lost." I, finally, advocating for myself
"That wasn't a request."
I can't be fighting no one for real.
"You'll have to get passed me to get to her."(T/M) says
Then again I have (T/M).
We start to fight the guy. I can barely keep up due to my leg. (T/M) is basically landing all the blows. The man then throws (T/M) to a tree.
Crap now it's my turn.
I then feel a sharp pain in my knee.
"Come on not now." I say holding my leg
I can't let this bring me down.
I try to charge to the man, but due to my leg I fall to the ground. Dang it! This can't be happening. All because of this knee. My face was on the ground. I'm not even going to bother to look up. I know my faith.
"Wow. Didn't expect you to put up a f-"
What? What just happened?
I look up to see that trader in front of me.
Now why is he here?
"Mercury, why are you doing this?"
"Doing what's right. Now leave before you get another boot to the chin." Mercury says
"You don't scare me."
I then see (T/M) hold her weapon up to the man's throat.
"Look at that. Seems like you're outnumbered." she says
The man looks at Mercury.
"Mercury. Cinder is going to be disappointed in you."
"Do you think I care?"
The man runs off.
(T/M) gives Mercury a strong look. Mercury ignores her. He instead goes to my weapon and give it to me.
"Hey you okay?"
I hold my weapon up to his throat.
"Woah. Woah. Calm down."
I still can't trust Mercury. What if this is all part of his plan. Just to get me at a weak point like last time. No that is not what is going to happen this time.
Mercury starts to back up.
"Look I'm not here to deceive you like last time."
Mercury eventually bumps into (T/M). She is just staring him down. She's just ready to strike him down.
"I got him (T/M)." I say pointing (W/N) at him
"Look (Y/N). I'm sorry."
"Sorry don't cut it! You have got to be the worse ex I have ever had. Not only did you break my heart, but you put other people's lives in danger."
"But-"
"I'm done talking. Mercury good bye."
"Wait no. You don't have to do this. You don't even know why Hazel was here trying to attack you."
He has a point. Hazel?
"That's a pretty feminine name for a masculine man." (T/M) says
I drop my weapon.
"Okay why was he here?" I ask
"Let's just say you have a gift."
"Mercury pull a corny pickup line, and I kill you."
"No. I'm being serious. You've heard of the 4 maidens right?"
"You mean that fairy tail about four sisters named after seasons?"(T/M) asks
"It's not a fairy tail. Cinder had killed the Fall maiden. Then the position was given to her. That was the only way she killed Pyrrah. We've been trying our longest to find the Spring Maiden, so that Emerald can take the position."
"What does this have to deal with me?" I ask
"(Y/N) you're the Spring Maiden."
What? This can't be true. The maidens are said to be powerful. I can barely stand right now.
"Are you sure that that information is accurate?"
"Yes."
"This makes no sense! This can't be right. How did I get mixed up with the Spring Maiden? Matter of fact, how do I know that I can trust you?!" I yell
Mercury gives a worried face.
"(Y/N)-" he says trying to pull me in what it seem like a kiss
"Don't even try to touch me!" I say pushing him off.
Mercury looks very sad. Serves him right.
He lets out a sigh.
"Okay. I get it. You're mad at me for what I have done to you, but please trust me. If you don't, more are going to come to get you. I advise you to get out of this area quickly."
I then look to (T/M).
"Let's go." she says
"Right." I say to her
"Hey. You don't mind if I tag along with you right?"
"Yes I do mind." I say
"(Y/N). You are in no condition to fight. You need all the protection you can get." (T/M) says
I can't believe I am doing this.
"We don't have to be dating if that's what you are wondering. I just want you to be safe." Mercury says
I let out a sigh.
"Fine."
