I am such an idiot. The one girl that I fall in love with and I hurt her. Is this all worth it now?
"What's wrong with you?" Emerald asks
"You should know what's wrong with me." I say
"Well it's not my fault. You should have never fell in love with a mission. Simple as that."
It wasn't my attention to fall in love with Y/N. It just happened.
~Flashback~
We were all in Cinder's room. She was checking out the information on each team.
"So what you got?" I asked
"I heard that team R/T/N is the strongest team around here." says Cinder
"What else?" asks Emerald
"That their leader is a girl and is a total romantic. So Mercury since you are the only boy in this team you are going to get close to her. Her name is Y/F/N and she looks like this." Cinder says showing me the picture.
"I'm hearing you loud and clear." I say
It was around lunch time and I saw her team was all sitting together. There she was. The target at hand.
There was an open seat right next to her. I walked to the seat.
"Hey is this seat taken?" I asked her with a grin on my face
"Oh sure." she says
"You might be wondering why I am sitting next to you right now. I just find you so gorgeous." I say
She then started to blush.
"Wow um thank you." she says
"Oh where are my manners. My name is Mercury Black."
"My name is Y/F/N. This is my team. Where's yours?"
"They are some where being annoying. I just couldn't take them any more. It sucks being the only guy. Hey maybe after lunch do you want to hang out?"

"Don't do it Y/N. He just want you for you love just like every guy." says one of her teammates
"I rest assure you. I will not use her for her love." I said

I can't believe how much of an idiot I was that day. I should have never trusted him.
"How's your knee Y/n?"T/M asks
"I'm still in pain. I wouldn't be in pain if I wasn't such a love drunk fool. I should have let that trader get eaten by that grimm when were in the forest."
~Flashback~
Mercury and I had been dating for a month or so. We decided to go into the forest. Then why were attacked by grimms instantly.
We were fighting off Grimms one by one. I had finished fighting off a couple of them when I saw Nevermore come towards him.
"Mercury! Watch out!" I yelled
He turn around and got frightened.
I manage to move him away before he could get attacked and I was on top of him.
"That was close." I said
Mercury sat up. He held me by the hips and kissed my forehead.
"Mercury I don't think it's time for us to be kissing right now." I said
"Oh right."
" I got it," I said
I then got up and killed it with Y/W.
"I think that's it." I said looking around
"Wasn't this a goofy idea for a date?"
"Yeah nice job choosing your dating place." I said
He grabbed my hips again and kissed me.

That was the day that I had actually fell in love with Y/N. When she was on top of me, I saw the beauty in her E/C orbs and my heart started racing like crazy. It was that and the fact that she saved me from the grimm that made me fall in love with her. She made me understand what love was and that was doing what ever was needed for your partner. And the day of Prom, that was the first time I made her mad.

I told her that I wouldn't be going because I had stuff to do with my team. It was the time when Emerald and I got on the dance floor and began to slow dance. Then Cinder came in and started to dance with me.
"So how's the plan going with Ms. Love Drunk?" Cinder asked
Then it hit me. Y/N was probably still here. Then I look to around to see Y/N to my far right with a F/C dress with her (H/L) (H/C) hair in curls. She was very mad, but she looked so pretty. I didn't want to piss her off anymore.
"What's wrong Mercury?" I heard Cinder ask on the fact that I didn't take my eye off of Y/N.
"Oh I see. You want to break her heart? You should kiss me to make her cry." Cinder said
I looked back to Cinder and let her go.
I didn't want to torture her. I actually love Y/N. This is not a mission to me. I walked over to Y/N. She still had the same expression on her face.
"So you decided to come huh?" she asked angrily
"Yeah. Sorry I meant to tell you."
"Oh really? Well tell me this why were you dancing with Emerald and Cinder a second ago?"
"You-
"Am I just one of the girls you have on your list?"

She began to walk away, but I grabbed her by the hand and swung her into my arms.

"How do I know that you are telling the truth?"
"Did I ever do this to Emerald or Cinder?"
I pressed my lips against her lips.
"I promise I will never hurt you."

That damn liar. To think that I was the one to fall for his tricks. I was the one to cheer him on against Coco and Yatsuhashi when every one else was sad. And what I yelled to poor Yang.

It was after the match between Yang and Mercury. I was furious with Yang. She had hurt Mercury for no reason. I was going to go in the ambulance with Mercury, but he said not to worry. I than marched to team RWBY's room furious. I busted through angry.
"Yang are you out of your damn mind!? What were thinking? Right now Mercury is in pain right now and it's all your fault!" I yelled at her
"Y/N you don't understand he attacked me and I saw it."
"From the clips Yang that doesn't see like that's what happened. You assaulted him when he was already beaten. I should beat you right now."
Blake comes close to me.
"Calm down. If it makes you happy, Yang is no longer in the competition." Blake says
"If it was up to me, I wouldn't even allow her to attending the school. Lousy Huntress."
I saw tears come up in Yang's eyes begin to water.
I walked out of the room.

The grimm and white fang was attacking the whole entire city. I was on top of the building when I get a call from Cinder.
"Mercury. Where are you?" she asked

"Head back to the ship. It's time to go. Mission complete."
She then hung.
I turned around and saw Y/N in expression I can't even explained. It was like she wanted to cry, but she wanted to punch me at the same time.
"Y/N it's not what it looks like." I told her
"You liar. How could you? I should have knew you were up to something."
"Y/N look I can explain."
"Was dating me all part of your plan?!" she yelled
I didn't say anything.
"You meant nothing what you said!" she yelled while pushing me

"Don't you even start trying to butter me up. Are you happy that this is happening? That everyone is probably dying right now?" she asked while pushing me again

"Shut up! This is the last time I fall for something so stupid. You messed with me for too long Mercury Black."
She then took out her weapon.
"Y/N calm down we don't have to be like this. We could still be together." I said backing up
"Yeah like you cared about me."
I then heard a gun shot.
Y/N was than on the ground holding her bloody knee.
Emerald then hopped in front of me.
"Wow you are annoying. Yes you were just a mission. You completely fell for it too." Emerald said
"Emerald shut up!" I yelled at her
"Now it's time for you to come to an end." Emerald said about to shoot Y/N in the head
I couldn't let Emerald shoot her.
I went behind Emerald and held her back.
"What the hell Mercury!?" Emerald asked
Then I guess one of Y/n's teammates hopped on the building and grabbed her. She then hopped away with her.
I let go of Emerald.
"What is with you? They just got away."
"You shut up!" I yelled at her
A gust of wind came upon us as the ship came.
"Both of you on the ship." Cinder ordered
