A mysterious group who aim to form a boundary between the land and the sea, claiming it will protect the sea from human pollutants and human settlements from flooding and rising sea levels. To do so, they aim to separate the legendary Pa'a'hoehoe and Kailu'ale'e, the embodiments of the lava and waves that together formed the Chikai Region. What they fail to realize is that doing so would cause the region to crumble.

The leader of Team Rift. A shrewd businessman who dislikes getting his hands dirty, he was born and raised in a coastal town that was decimated by a flood of badly polluted seawater, which led to his desire to separate the land and sea. He stands to make a huge amount of money if successful, but doesn't seem to realize the consequences of his actions.
