Description
An enhanced MASS unit design is badly needed when the tide turned against American Union and Pan Pacific Union. Eurasian Federation developed highly efficient MASS units that brought about new standards in MASS warfare. Thus the old Vanguard class became obsolete and both AU and PPU have to come up with better designs in order to even the scales. In 2215, Rosswell Industries (merger of Lockheed Martin and Boston Dynamics) in Seattle arrived with a highly maneuverable frame design. It also features unique set of armaments capable of firing efficiently at greater distance, shooting down enemy MASS units before they can even engage in battle. The new frame classification was hunter class with model name being ORION. The ORION frame features added armor layers on the front and back skirts to protect the pelvic joint. Back thrusters were greatly improved with better fuel consumption efficiency. Leg thrusters were also added. Heissen particle generation is also improved. The Neuralink OS was replaced with the newly developed M.I.N.D. (MASS Intelligent Neuro Diver) OS which features some controls that can be directly triggered and controlled by the pilot with the mind link functionality. Added Safety protocols like Heissen particle shield over cockpit, ejection module, Pilot vitals monitor and 8 layer message encryption system. This class achieved superiority in terms of ground and aerial assault, long range engagements, and isolated skirmishes. It was when the nuclear arms disarmament was breached by the Eurasian Federation that these units become ineffective due to Smart ICBMs and MIRVs. Major tactical design changes were then again needed to counter the enemies' destructive force
