Do you mean the hollow pills that allowed the shinigami to regain their Bankai, because it is toxic to them, despite Opie Kirge absorbing massive amounts of hollow reiatsu in hueco mundo, or the quincy Vollständig which was established many chapters ago?

Both really.  Though if the Vollstandig really is that ridiculously powerful why didn't they just use it to kill everyone to begin with?  I mean I can understand using tactics to get a psychological advantage but its even better to just slaughter your enemies outright.

The first time the Quincy attacked they had a timelimit, and they butchered the shinigami pretty good in that short amount of time. A Vollständig is incredible powerful, Ishida could stand up to Mayuri, even though he was not that skilled at the time. It wouldn't be as dangerous if they were still on earth, but in SS it is pretty lethal.

You do have a point though why they didn't use it from the get go, but it wouldn't be entertaining if they slaughtered the gotei 13 immediately at the beginning of the Arc, though I really hope at least 5-6 captains die.

You may get your wish if the Captains don't stop acting like idiots (Do you already count Yamamoto and Unohana in your 5-6 captains?).  You'd think after losing the old man they'd get the memo that these people are the kind of enemy you can't afford to screw around with; the moment you have the chance you need to pierce their heats, slit their throats, blow them up, or something along those lines.  But what really gets me the most about this whole arc was what happened the first time the quincies launched a full invasion...

Soi Fon, Byakuya, Komamura, and Hitsugaya; four characters who had all been portrayed up to that point as being at least reasonably intelligent somehow thought it was a good idea to release their bankai when they knew that not only could their enemy adversely effect their release but their enemies were practically goading them on making it obvious that they were playing right into their hands.  And of course the same goes for Yamamoto himself. 

In my opinion if they don't wise up they'll be going extinct.

More the sheer ridiculous level of power.  If it really was all that then they should have just slaughtered the shinigami outright instead of screwing around with the medallions to steal bankais (I mean those couldn't have been easy to develop).  I mean a psychological advantage over your enemy is great, but it doesn't compete with killing them so you don't have to worry about them recovering.
