Another one is in the can!I was so anxious to finish this one that I totally forgot to do any shading (during the inking stage) on her skin/fur until after I'd scanned it and started coloring and didn't wanna go back at that point. Oh well, not the end of the world.
I can do 2 more before I have to make a new template ... actually, after that, I won't be able to make any use out of templates since each of the rest is a different species of cat.

Not necessarily. I did it with all the others--as long as I don't overdo it, it doesn't make it much darker, but it does give it a little more depth.

hmm I think it's the not a shading that you need
but you could use a fur texture, to give it that good looking furry sking

Her fur barely counts as fur, really--it's like velvet or suede, so I don't really tend to make it look furry. I just use the same sort of hatching/crosshatching that I'd normally use on a smooth surface.

hmm.. like some soft carpet.. I see what you mean! I'm sure there is a Photoshop effect that gives that feeling!

Maybe I'll try something like that in the future. I don't want the comic to be Photoshopped to death but using a unique texture for the fur is kind of a neat idea.
