Description
Drawing 20 of 100-I'm actually surprised no one has thought of this kinda poster. It was always a popular thing for me to quote when I played Fallout 3 for the first time, I even remember laughing my ass off when Three Dog said it for the first time as well xD
I was originally gonna put a pip boy into the vault boys arm but I decided against it and to go for a more simple approach with him carrying a few medical supplies (ie. Radaway and Rad-X) whilst giving a thumbs up.
*Update: Added shine to the eyes and bolded the radiation aura around the Vault Boy.

First let's start with the positive traits of this picture, Vault boy is immediately recognizable, you got the rad-x pills properly drawn. Over all the coloring fits with the style of art the Fallout vault boy is based on. Your line work is great, smooth and controlled. The shadow work is pretty good too (personally shadows are one of my weakest areas). I like that radiation aura, and the little 'tic' sound effects of the tachometer.
Now on to the nit picky things I found a little off with the piece, heads up none of them are too bad. First, I would have made the Aura just a wee bit thicker, particularly around the back of the head, where I have trouble seeing it. Now, that might just be due to a light color green on a white background making it harder to see. Even though the vault boy's eyes are completely black, given the size of his head in the picture I would have added little reflections in them (little white dots in each eye) Not necessary, and not 'accurate' to vault boy, but to me his eyes here seem empty, and a little hint at gloss would help that.
And lastly I want to thank you, I almost corrected you on "human flesh fires" thinking that it was "human flesh VIRUS"... but I looked it up and after all these years and 200 hours in game, my world has been rocked. You were right, and I have misheard Three Dog all these years.
I give you a solid 4/5 on this piece and 2 thumbs up for accuracy to the game.

Wow, what a critique! I certainly appreciate it, I was gonna put some shine and put the aura thicker but I second guessed myself since I thought it would ruin it and make it lose it's "vault boy" authenticity. Also I really suck at backgrounds and that's one of my biggest fears adding a background to the image and ruining it completely...which is why I wanna get photoshop so it'll relieve a bit of stress off my back and make my pictures look better (backgrounds are my #1 weakness that's a fact).
Hahaha! Yeah, your not the only one who thought that. My gf was like "uh, it's human flesh virus...you spelt it wrong" I almost flipped a switch hearing that and doing all that work for nothing but I insisted that it was human flesh fires. So I showed her the wikia and the reaction was pretty much yours xD
Thanks again for the critique, it certainly helps me improve my style and fix the small things I miss/second guess myself on~

For something like this, I would say a solid color was the right way to go, just not white, hahaha.
I can't remember which artist it was, I think it was Dave Gibbons, who once said something like "no picture is ever going to be perfect, so I scrutinize me work, assess the flaws and work to improve those areas on the next piece." Advice that has helped me, not only improve, but increase the volume of my work. I used to sit and obsess on each piece I did, but that quote (from whom ever it was) has helped me to accept not being perfect and move on from a work when the time is right. Another artist once said "A piece is never finished, the artist merely decides to stop working on it."
Keep up the good work, try doing backgrounds and refine them with each successive piece you do.
