As I mentioned in the colored version of this piece, I prefered my intial line drawing. So I decided to ink it...and in the process went monochromatic. I really love doing things in this color scheme, however, I've never done it with a pen before. As a result there are a lot of problems with this. The biggest is their skin tone. I wanted to shade because just white didn't look so hot, but shading skin in pen is.....difficult to say the least. Maybe in the future if I combine pen with marker or something?? I dunno, but the pen just wasn't cutting it. I don't have enough control to keep the lines uniform so they don't look so harsh and dark.Especially Naruto....He looks like a Zombie!!! the blush kinda extended into his "shading" so he looks all sinister. This is compounded by the fact that Hinata looks all violated. Welll, its humerous if nothing else. I put it up because it took me forver to do all the clothes and...just everything! I mean, I was doing it in class, but still, might as well post it. I'll probably move it to scraps if I get some better inked stuff up here. Unless you likes it of course, they maybe it'll stay ^____^

Hinata could not bear to be seperated from her belo ved, and thus researched forbidden jutsu in order to bring him back from the dead! What she doesn't know is that instead of Naruto, Kyuubi came back to control the body! Muhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Yeah, I was trying to make it look like her sleeve covered half of her hand...like the coat was too big for her, but it didn't really work out in the end, heh. I'm glad you like it anyways tho...

Thank you! ^_____^ I'm glad you think so. I agree the folds in the clothes did come ok, which is an anomaly cuz usually I suck at clothes. I spent a while on this, but I would like it better if I hadn't messed up the face

ROFL, Naruto really does look like a zombie.
Pen shading is a pretty iffy technique. It requires a different ethic where you'll have to remember that pen comes out more solid than pencil. It looks like you have most of the ethic down. Great job with this version.

Yeah, I'm ok with pen for details and stuff...but not for light shading. I knew this when I tackled it....but I just kept thinking "wellllll maybe this time it will work...maybe I've gotten better" Then Reality smote me down. Oh well. I think I'll still do pen stuff tho....it makes my pencil work pop, I just need to pair it with something else so I can do soft shading in some parts.

Thank you so much!! I think I failed somewhat on the shading here...but hopefully I'll improve in my next piece cuz I like the pen. The only thing that really bothers me is Narutos face and how dark it got (by accident)

Yeah. And shading with a pen is just naturally hard but it should work out with practice. That's why I only shade with pencil [cuz i'm a scaredy-cat].
