Part 1 of 4.

"Desperate times calls for desperate measures" was the saying that was going through Ruby's head as she thinks back to the events that have led to the situation she has found herself in. The enemy got desperate and pulled a rather risky move to beat Remnant.

Opening a portal to another dimension to get the upperhand on them was a desperate move and Ruby got dragged along for the ride. Luckily for her, the Dust rounds in Crescent Rose and the ammo she brought with her still worked even though she wasn't on Remnant anymore. Unfortunately, that didn't help her much when she was ambushed by several Ceph Stalkers, Grunts and Grunt Commanders. Ruby's Semblance and aim helped her take down a handful of them but one shot from a Grunt followed by a barrage of slashes from a Stalker and being thrown trough a weak wall left her badly injured. Before the very same Stalker who threw her could kill her, she was saved a group of people and lost consciousness afterwards.

When Ruby awoke she found herself in what the people saved her called the Nanosuit, the most tactical battle suit. A heavily modified version of the standard Nanosuit since the current state it was found in made it almost unusable until parts were found and using peices of the very alien technology it was created from: Ceph. The suit increased Ruby's already super human like abilities making her a deadly weapon on the battlefield.

Ruby's next plan was simple: find Dr Merlot's team in the ruined and jungle remains of New York and bring them back to Remnant while also helping her new allies take back the city from both Cell and the Ceph. She definitely has quite the challenge ahead of her, good thing the suit gives her options on how to appoach a situation.
