Description
This sunlight is slippery stuff, always moving, sliding away from where you expected it to be. I've heard it said that light has an absolute speed, a speed that cannot be shifted up or down but only sideways. But then, if that's so, then why do we slow it down with vats of honey-oil before using lenses to condense it into Bright-Gems? And I've tried doing it without he slow-down; it doesn't work at all that way, even if you spend days tweaking the lens array. I say, let the thoughtful heads do what they do best- generate hot air. I'll stick to the practical side of things, myself. Stars only know that it's more fun wrestling with light than with ideas, anyway.-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
I love crackle glass, it's so sparkly. These lemony yellow coin-shaped beads caught my eye, and I thought they'd go quite well with brass and the last of my gunmetal-colored aluminum. I quite like the result, it just seems so perky and energetic.
For sale for $10 plus shipping, note me if you'd like to have it!

Love this design, the nestling of the jewel in the little bed of wire is very cute. ^^

I love this piece. It's so pretty. And I just love the story as well. I do wonder, light can seem quite slippery at times.
This is just an idea for you, (I find getting random ideas help generate my "idea box") but perhaps you could make one about the dark? Smooth, almost satin like perhaps? I am not sure. I just figured giving you an idea wouldn't hurt.

Thank you! Crackle glass is so pretty, but I'm thinking that the color on these beads is plastic paint, which sort of reduces the awesome for the sake of chipping color.

Oh! It's freakin' beautiful as always! I wish I knew how you do it! Is there a hole in the gemstone or is this pure magic?

Thank you so much! There is a hole in this bead, just wide enough for the aluminum to pass through once. I'm not sure if the rest qualifies as magic, but I'll go with that. Magic sounds more fun than experimentation, after all.

I love the fact that you take your time to explain how you do it.
Thank you so much, dear friend.
Yes. I think there might be some magic as well!

It's so pretty. The gemstone is great for capturing and reflecting light, and I like the spiral pattern that you've set it in. And even the wood you photographed it on adds to the texture. Great job!

Thank you so much! The wood is actually a windowsill I use to photograph my relatively small pieces, it's pretty convenient.
The gem is pale yellow crackle glass, I found it while looking for yellow because I noticed that I don't have very much of it in my stock. And spirals are just so fun!
