Lightweaver Hybrid Kit Tryouts

Lightweaver of ShadowClan has a reputation among his clan for being a bit of a playboy. He's always had fun not taking things seriously, running amok and living his life to the fullest. In his opinion, that's one of the most important things- enjoying life. Unfortunately, this has given him a lackadasical attitude that does him no favors among most of his clanmates, at best earning him a pointless fling and at worst gaining him the annoyance of whoever he is around. This time, his fun seeking has landed him into a boatload of trouble and ultimately a bit of a predicament.

His most recent fling was Jasmine, the Highlander hybrid kittypet who came with the twolegs this summer near the beach... and currently unbeknownst to him, she has fallen pregnant.

Jasmine will be giving birth to one hybrid kitten. As soon as they are old enough to travel, they will be brought to ShadowClan to reside with their father- after all, Jasmine cannot keep kits, particularly ones who are not purebreds. The kitten will join ShadowClan around 2 weeks old.

Lightweaver will only find out about his child when Jasmine confronts him at the border one day, dropping the little thing on him. It'll be fairly obvious that the kitten is his. Unfortunately, however, Lightweaver is far from a put together tom- and the moment this is thrown on him, he will reject any semblance of fatherhood.

Luckily, or unluckily, Lightweaver himself was abandoned by his parents as a child. He knows just who to turn to- his adopted mother, Peonypurr, a Caretaker. Lightweaver will leave his child in her care, and renounce any chance of being a father to them (at least for now). He'll be very avoidant of the child and unfortunately his mother as well while she's raising them. Furthermore, he has a littermate, Vixenhowl, who is much more put together than him. Vixenhowl will also be deeply involved in the child's life, both an uncle and a father to the child in their littermate's absence.

How this will affect his kit is up to the player, and can be developed out in RP- this is more to give a gentle idea of how this will go.

The designs were done by IzzyyDraws , angeIk1ss , eiixiirs , and fernyfeline respectively! Additionally, any chosen design will be transferred onto whichever of the two sketches shown in the tryout image is wished!

Information

Tryouts for this character is open to both members and non-members looking to join FoW, but you may not have two hybrid characters- meaning if you already play one, you cannot tryout for these kits!

Gender is entirely up to the player of the kit. It will be up to you if they are AMAB, AFAB, Intersex (this runs in Lightweaver's family, as his littermate Vixenhowl is intersex), and if they choose to identify differently as they grow older.

Names are also entirely up to the players of the kits, there's not much in the way of theme or anything- Peonypurr is going to be the one naming them though!

Personality is entirely up for interpretation as well. If you are looking for some traits of their family, however, Lightweaver is Charismatic, Adaptable, Flirtatious, Laidback, Immature, and Vain. Vixenhowl is Confident, Intellectual, Rational, Hard-Working, Stoic, and Cynical. Peonypurr is Empathetic, Kind, Gentle, Quiet, Indecisive, and Insecure.

Trait Wise, this kit will be born with a bobbed tail and curled ears in addition to their hybrid size, meaning that as adults they will dwarf their family (including their abnormally large uncle-dad Vixenhowl). However, they may also have any traits wished from our Limited Traits list applied to them, simply ask and I will purchase it for you if you win!

Relationships wise, apart from Lightweaver being their true father the kits will have the following in character connections: Their adopted mother/grandmother Peonypurr , and their uncle-dad Vixenhowl . Any other Highlander Hybrids born into the clans will also be half-siblings to this kit!

- If you leave the group or do not want to play your kit anymore, I will be taking them back

- We have every right to revoke the character from you if these rules are not followed- however, we will let you know if something is up beforehand!

- We expect there to be proper communication with us about these characters! If you have a plot or ship in mind, please run it by us- we are unlikely to deny anything, we just do best with open lines of communication so we can be aware of what's going on with them! The main proponents of this will be SnootyCupid and Reiner, the players of their more connected family members.

- You must be active with them! We understand if you have to take a hiatus, but please be active! Don't allow them to collect dust!

- While this kit will be allowed to have some conflict within their family as they grow (mainly with Lightweaver), we ask that they do not permanently lose contact/hate their good family members (Peonypurr and Vixenhowl)! If you wish for a temporary hitch in their relationships, I will ask for a game plan to reestablish them as close family members so that we know where things will go from that point forward! Additionally, all plots of this caliber must be checked and passed off with the players of their family to be sure it's happening at a good time and we are prepared for it

- There is no design requirement nor name requirements! However, if you choose a design not provided by me, please link said design in your tryout!

- Anyone in the group or wanting to join can tryout!

- The more you develop them in your tryout, the more chance you have to win them.

- Tryouts will end January 9th, their official birthdate! They will be expected to be brought into the group as of January 16th, when they are 2 weeks old and joining the clans officially.
