Description
This is Akanma, a character that I have yet to bring into a FanFiction.net story I've been writing. She is a Fusion of Akane, and Ranma, of Ranma 1/2. I named her Akanma (instead of Rakane) because I feel that Akanma provides a better mix of the two names, not because I have some strange fascination with Akuma of Street Fighter (and besides, she looks MUCH better then him, don't you think?

I would rather you did not.Β Partly because it's not as good as it could be, but also partly because I have yet to write this character into the story she will appear in, and I want to do that justice before someone was to put their own take on the concept.Β Once I've done that, then the question can be revisited.

Akanma is from a fanfic that I was writing at one point in time where DBZ Meets Ranma 1/2. But I never got around to introducing her. As it is, I enjoyed the concept a lot so I've kept her around.

It is a good concept, especially the name, given that other type of fusion fics usually call her Rankane which is a bit of a mouthful compared to Akanma (which sounds actually more realistic for some reason). I would love to read the fic when it comes out. The question is how did they fuse to begin with and are they locked as a girl or not.

Well, the curse is definitely a bit on the confused side. The fusion would take place due to training with Goku in the Time Chamber, and they would have learned a lot from him, even if they would have felt that the Fusion technique wouldn't be needed. Naturally, it does become necessary, and Ranma wouldn't be able to use the technique unless, of course, he was in his cursed form.
The curse IS still in effect for Akanma, buuuut...it has weird reactions to hot water, seeing as fully half of the girl is made up of an uncursed woman.

Actually at the time I used the burn and dodge tool to get the highlighting effect I was going for. I've come a long ways since then though, so I'd probably wouldn't be adverse to redoing it someday. If I get the itch anyways heh.

Uh....Ranma doesn't have red hair normally unless splashed into his female form...so I'm a little confused how you got that conclusion.

I say that because she only has a few hints of red in her hair. Her hair is mostly black. Thats why I would say she would be turning back into a male (because Ranma's hair is black when he is male.).

Actually the hair is mostly blue, it's just the shading that makes it look black. I've gotten better in my shading technique, so I probably should recolor it sometime.

No, the fusion of the two confuses the curse. So it works in odd ways, but not THAT odd. Usually only dealing with physicality. So for example, she gets splashed, she's suddenly physically stronger this time, but next time, she might actually have bigger muscles but no real increase in strength. Things like that.
But no, no hermaphroditeing going on. The story doesn't get into that kind of detail, and frankly, that's kinda sick.
