He passes by Mikoto, who found herself seated at the table they just ate breakfast at. He lingers trying to assure her that he feels regret for her, for them. And for a moment he thinks maybe Itachi deserved a punch for making him do all this! Maybe if he hadn’t looked things wouldn’t have been stormed apart like this. But that thought is quickly thrown out: a student disappeared and another one was harassed into thinking she had no other choice. It couldn’t go on.
Where is my love for you going to lead me to, Itachi? Will I have to compromise an entire city because of you?
Worse yet, is that… he just might if it ever came to it.
