This is a homework assignment for my literature class. We just read "In The Penal Colony" by Kafka and we had to draw "The Machine". It was a good assignment

A piece of paper is fed into the machine, and the machine writes the crime of the condemned into the flesh of the condemned in increasingly intricate script, before killing the prisoner and throwing them into a pit. The entire process takes at least twelve hours, and the condemned is never told what they are being punished for - nor, indeed, that they are being punished.

i like it because it has a setting. you should do somethign like taht again maybe.
maybe to evolve your work, use your patterns and textures to fill in the negative space or whatever.
