Description
I wanted to make a Firefly wallpaper, then realized that I also wanted to make a Rainbow Dash wallpaper. Then, I decided to take both of my ideas and put them in one wallpaper. Firefly is best previous Mane Six generation. And she also looks badass in FiM style.And so you know, and so that I don't get any comments about this, this has nothing to do with shipping. I just wanted to make a wallpaper with both the first and current generations of Rainbow Dash.

i like the idea, and it looks great but i don't really get their expressions... feel like there needs to be some sort of back story, dash's face looks a little suspicious. but i do love how awesome firefly looks in g4 style!

When I was making this, I was thinking of ponies being around these two, so it would look like they were being admired. But, it looked fine like this, so I left it how it was.

I've got a question for you.
Does every generation HAVE a mane 6 or is this generation the only one that's made a distiguishable main cast with the elements of harmony?
I don't know squat about the previous generations except that some of them had names that show up in gen 4. (Rainbow Dash, Cheerilee, Pinkie Pie, SweetieBelle, Scootaloo, Spike, MoonDancer, AppleJack)
and that Gen 1 had Firefly who was much like Rainbow Dash.

I`ve only watched the first and the fourth generation and I can say that the 1st was a very different show altogether. No mane 6, different world and different stories. There was a human girl Megan who was kind of the main character and a few ponies that appeared more than others, like a pony named Twilight (Lauren Faust modelled G4 Twilight`s mother after her) Applejack (only pony with the same appearance and name in G4) Lickety Split (always makes me smile when G4 Applejack uses that phrase) and a few ponies that haven`t made it to G4. (my favourite was Gusty, a white unicorn with green and red mane and leafs as a cutie mark) Two other kids also made it to the pony world and Spike was also there.

I do know that each of the mane six now had a gem 1 pony with a corresponding personality. (RD-Firefly, Pinkie-Surprise, Applejack-well, Applejack, and I'm not sire about the rest, but I have seen them around.)

I'm imagining this as Firefly being Rainbow's mother and Rainbow's showing her mom around her home. (Twilight's mom looks very much like the G1 Twilight, I wouldn't be surprised if Rainbow, Fluttershy or Applejack's parents match this as they haven't been seen yet.)

I think there's a few. (I don't quite remember, but I think the first Alicorn wasn't Celestia or Luna, one generation did have such a pony in it. And another reference might be that the world the ponies live in isn't strictly a pony world like G3 seems very much like, plus G2, well I don't know much but I've seen some things that point there are a majority of ponies. G1 was also more diverse in species, especially the villains.)

Posey is basically an earth pony version of Fluttershy with pale colors.

Actually, Fluttershy and the other Mane six were all going to be G1 ponies with new looks with Posey being Fluttershy's basis, but only AJ's name was still under the rights of Hasbro so the others were changed at the show's finalization. Rainbow for example would have been Firefly if this had gone through.
So in a way, Fluttershy is Posey's reincarnation.
