Drawn on a Mac with a wacom in Photoshop. A subject that has always intimidated me. I decided to jump in and go for broke. I hope it's acceptable.Related content

This has very realistic colours and lighting, did you use a photo as a "base" underneath, which you referenced your colours an dlighting from? I can tell that no parts of any photo are visible here, and I can see it's not simple a photo thats been smudged around either, it looks really great considering that

Thank you for your kind words. I used photos, more than one, for reference. It wasn't traced. It was done on two layers. The underlayer is the 'dark' portion. The 2nd layer was built over that.

Well. thank you very much. I appreciate that. I always backed away from doing a realistic sky. I just decided one day to face my demon. It took a while to do, and each stroke was painful.
