No problem, just be sure to read ACP when you can, it's worth it. So, you Air Force? Or just need it for a story of yours?

Sure thing. I am wanting to join Air Force after graduation, it's a high possibility I will. Right now, I'm in AFJROTC so I was wanting to know a few things to maybe get ahead.

I see you're taking after the CF way of doing things, sans for the badges on the shoulders/flight suits.

I wouldn't know, I barely understand the CF myself. They're one branch, multi-branched, no branch...semantics if you ask me.

Eh, Canadian Forces are unified. For some weird reason, our branches are all unified under the same command, but are designated different elements.
It's also easier to distinguish rank from a farther distance if your ranks are on your shoulders or your forearms. That way, you don't forget to accidentally pay respects to an Officer.

Aye. It's especially easy with our forces because the rank bands and chevrons are gold, which contrasts nicely and tastefully with the dress uniforms (C-1s). Problem is, our BDUs and work uniforms don't have the large rank stripes for us NCMs on our shoulders anymore...we have to wear these annoying little pins on our collars.

Well, good thing that there's some Canadian features on the uniforms, if only by accident.

Well, I mean you're using the NATO pay codes for the ranks, not to mention the NUN is similar to NATO...albeit modernized.
It's also convenient, too, so that way if you get, say, an American who doesn't know 'stripe' rank, you can just show him your Officer badge.

Yeah, a very Western approach, I'll have to admit.

Lot easier than, say, the German or French ranks. Those confuse the hell outta me. =/

Anyway, if you want, you can check the other uniforms too. Not that they're very different, but you'll get an idea.

Yeah. The next uniforms I'll be working on would be Service B uniforms, the ones without the coat. Really, they wear it inside the coat.

Yeah, we have our C-1s (full dress uniform), C-2s (working/non-dress, similar to the U.S. service-B), BDUs and Mess Dress.
I liked my BDUs the best.
