An energetic showoff, Richard Belzar is easy to get along with despite being quite a brawler. He’s impulsive; some would say recklessly arrogant. His talent in martial arts led to his recruitment for Largo’s Hero Initiative on campus – the very campus where Dr. Brian Eastman worked. Belzar was coaxed to join the reportedly eccentric Dr. Beastman’s project by his own instructor and friend Dominic Ramon. Choosing a Tyrannosaurs as his alternate form, Belzar’s vanity came through when he insisted on keeping his beefy arms in dino-mode instead of T Rex’s embarrassing stumps.
As “Wrecking Ball”, he revels in his alternate form as the king of all dinosaurs. He uses his whole body as a weapon to plow through enemy groups – striking with his massively powerful legs and bringing his tail into it. His enthusiasm for extreme sports has been dialed up to eleven by his ability to transform into a dinosaur – but so has his reckless attitude. He’ll be first to jump into the fray. Despite his headstrong tendencies to leap headfirst into danger, he really is a bit of a softy and enjoys his friendships, never actually wanting to go it alone.
While known for taking out opponents easily, “Thick Rick” actually doesn’t have much of a temper and tends to fight jokingly. He gets more fun out of it rather than flying off the handle. His personality may seem larger than life, but he doesn’t believe himself to be above other people. He’d much rather be part of the crowd – or more accurately, the party. In fact, he was studying for a career in physical therapy. Unfortunately, his new status as a Super seems to have gone to his head…
