Description
Oekaki done in Shi Painter.This is fanart from "9", a short animated film by Shane Acker. The main character is identified by a number 9 on its back.

Note: 9's cloth is actually woven material, but I was too lazy to draw stitchwork. Hence the psuedo-Spidey suit.

Great job at recreating this! This version of 9 freaks me out... But if this does that like the short film, it proves you've got it spot on.

I agree, the skin could've had a better texture and his eyes could've been just a tad bigger, but over all this piece is really awesome! I think Shane Acker would be proud!

I like your interpretation of 9, rdsullivan, it's a little dark(at times, it was a dark world), but, that's a minor thing. Do You have art of any of the other characters, or, the scientist, perhaps?

I love the coloring on this. The dark sky really brings out the post apacolyptic theme. Adding the Beast in the background gives a sort of fearful essence as well. Beautiful picture!

1: I doubt 9 is machine in orgin, but I doubt his bio-mechanical too. 2: What is the "Spark of Life"? A terraform device?

i think if the spark of life was a tool in terraforming the proffesor would of used it, i think it gives them the power to make more, similar to the allspark cube from transformers

I don't think the professer would have used it if the spark was a terraforming device when the machines were whipping out humanity. Also, the Allspark was as big as a four-story building, the Spark of Life is in a small shirt button or something.

I love the paint style you chose to use here, it looks quite accurate and fitting to the characters themselves. And chh I don't see anything "lazy" about the outfit you've done, I think this is a mighty fine piece of work
