I just find it funny how if it involves women, nudity, or anything that sexually appealing it gets instant recognition. Hmm.. Way to go..
now as far as picture quality I will applaud you on the quality and contrast with the black and white. Very nice. The frame is waaaaay too tight though.. not enough in the picture to really have much to say.

I normally don't give my 2 cents with most work on DA since artists generally know what their piece is lacking. But first, I'd like to say that the reason I feel many people are "upset" at this photograph is because the title is a bit misleading. It's more of a title suitable for what a few people see this as; two "trashy" lesbians kissing. When really it has much more depth.
So anyway, aside from the title, I think the woman on the left could be more engaged in the photo. She seems to be hesitant and stand-offish from the woman on the right. That's my only real suggestion in terms of a critique.

ok. I'm not sure What to think of the "negative" comments on this picture. It seems that people assume the point of the kiss is to be provocative and to "sell the girl on girl" theme. Did it occur to anyone that perhaps its actually two girls in a relationship? That this is an intimate and passionate moment that could be shared between any two people no matter the gender??? Its disapointing to see that people can't appreciate this as art and something beautiful but instead assume its trashy and pornographic in some way... slightly upsetting.... but to each their own I suppose

It doesn't matter if it's two girls in a relationship. The fact of the matter is, this photo is still not as impressive as his other photos. The majority of his other submissions get around a few hundred favs, hence, it's not that hard to assume that the only reason this has gained 1,500+ favs is because "it's just two chicks kissing".
