BACKGROUND

Sonja is the daughter of singer Lucia Valiente and the Lord of the Dead, Hades. Her mother’s status in life kept her safe from monsters through most of her childhood, but the older she got the harder it was to conceal herself. She was claimed at an early age, long before she could witness the horrors of high school, and kept safe at Camp Half-Blood where she studied and trained year-round to become a hero. Fitting in better at camp then at school, Sonja’s shy shell slowly cracked open, allowing her to be a strong (if brash) demigod.
