Description
This is a personal piece I've been working on for a while now.It is a tribute to Studio Ghibli and just how much of an impact their work had on me and my life. Especially back when I was a teen, struggling with depression, insecurities and the usual stuff most teenagers go through. Ghibli provided a string of hope; you could forget any misfortune for a couple hours and just delve into a more beautiful world, absorb inspiration and just enjoy the emotional ride.
Howl's Moving Castle was, and probably will remain my favorite movie. I could identify myself with the characters and their personal struggles, it just always felt.. quite nostalgic? Probably one of the reasons why I didn't need any reference except a screenshot of Calcifer's eyes.. seriously I had no idea what his eyes looked like haha

I love this. Howl's Moving Castle is one of my favorite, favorite films. So much so I went and bought the book series too which I highly suggest reading if you adore the movie.

My mom got me the collection a little while back, it's my saving grace since our Internet is too slow out here to stream movies!

I feel like mine was picked up from a pirated copy sort of market haha
Like it doesn't seem official. Because some of the copies have strange audio. Not like creepypasta audio, but just segments that are a tick off from the original.
I will not look a gift horse in the mouth though, it's my go - to comfort for rainy days and being sick!!

When I've seen the flame I thougth about Howl Castle, even before reading the comment of this piece!
But the way you rendered the color, the skin and the fabric of the dress is amazing! The hand maybe is too much distorted but it works!
