Description
We had a lightning storm this evening, I went out and took some pictures of it. This is undoubtedly the best of them and although it's out of focus I think it made a pretty good shot.Related content

that is crazy looking! with photos like this it does not matter if it is out of focus because you concentrate on the clouds, not the city, and the clouds look fine.

Some damn impressive clouds, even though you can only see the glare and not the lightening itself! How did you take this shot? (Aperture, shutter time, etc.)

15 seconds and then hoping to get lucky with a flash of lightning? You might wanna use a tripod for sharper images. But I've often used carhoods and the like for lack of a tripod, too ;]

It'd probably look better with black bars at the top and bottom. That might make it seem more balanced somehow.

btw, i think u shud have cropped the bottom 2/3 of the picture or just cut out the top 1/3... use a "thirds approach" and maje ur subject (the middle clouds i guess) the middle part..
just my opinion, u dont have to follow..

I actually have cropped it quite a bit, I think that it might look better with some bars at the top and bottom to give it that look that you're talking about, what do you think?
